Senior Citrix Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, configure, maintain, and provide support for on-premises Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) environments across various client locations.

• Oversee Citrix Delivery Controllers, Studio, StoreFront, License Servers, SQL databases, Director, monitoring components, Workspace applications, and licensing.

• Engineer, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Citrix ADC/NetScaler, covering Gateway, load balancing, SSL offloading, and content switching.

• Design and uphold Machine Creation Services provisioning strategies while optimizing master/golden images.

• Implement and sustain Citrix Profile Management and/or FSLogix.

• Plan and carry out Citrix version upgrades, migrations, and changes to the infrastructure.

• Support and enhance Azure Virtual Desktop environments, including host pools, session hosts, profiles, access, and application delivery.

• Act as the senior escalation point for intricate Citrix and virtualization issues, conducting root-cause analysis and implementing lasting solutions.

• Establish security best practices, assess vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance across Citrix environments.

• Create and maintain PowerShell scripts along with Citrix SDK automation.

• Function as Change Control Manager/technical authority; review, approve, coordinate, and supervise Citrix-related changes.

• Conduct audits, define maintenance needs, and support project implementation, design reviews, onboarding, and deployments.

• Maintain technical documentation, service records, timesheets, tickets, and communications with clients.

• Mentor junior engineers and engage in team meetings, training, and technical discussions.

⛳️ Requirements

• 10–15 years of pertinent IT experience in supporting SMB, enterprise, or MSP environments.

• At least 5 years of direct hands-on experience in Citrix engineering.

• Significant experience in supporting on-premises Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) environments.

• Strong practical experience with Citrix ADC/NetScaler.

• Experience in multi-client, enterprise, or MSP environments.

• Experience in managing or participating in formal change management/change control processes.

• Strong hands-on knowledge of CVAD, Delivery Controllers, Citrix Studio, StoreFront, License Servers, Director, ADC/NetScaler, Gateway, load balancing, SSL offloading, content switching, MCS, golden/master image management, Profile Management, FSLogix, Workspace, HDX, Windows Server, Active Directory, Hyper-V or other enterprise virtualization platforms, Microsoft Azure, AVD, PowerShell, and Citrix SDK/automation.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.

• Required certification: CCP-V or CCE-V.

• Preferred certifications in Citrix ADC/NetScaler, Microsoft Azure, Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows Server, Azure, or other virtualization technologies.

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, client-facing, documentation, organizational, decision-making, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing skills.

• Ability to manage multiple client environments and competing priorities.

• Capacity to work independently in a remote setting.
