📋 Description

• Develop high-quality cinematic facial animations for in-game use by leveraging motion capture data and hand-key techniques with FACS-based rigs.

• Integrate facial capture data into scene designs and enhance facial performances through final implementation within the game engine.

• Collaborate with Animation Directors and Lead Animators to craft cinematic facial expressions that align with the game's vision and cinematography style.

• Establish and uphold performance standards while coordinating with other departments for smooth cinematic integration.

• Resolve technical challenges related to the integration of facial animation into the engine.

• Enhance character facial performances to produce lifelike and engaging scenes.

• Engage in feedback sessions with the cinematic team, present work, and incorporate constructive criticism.

• Employ animation and camera principles to create realistic and immersive cinematic experiences.

• Utilize Jira and Flow for tracking progress and managing workload effectively.

• Communicate progress and potential obstacles to the Animation Director and Project Management.

• Mentor junior artists to foster their growth and development.

• Undertake additional related responsibilities as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess authorization to work in the United States.

• Proficient in Maya with advanced knowledge.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.

• Ability to perform calculations and apply basic algebra and geometry.

• Competence in defining problems, gathering data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.

• Skill in interpreting extensive technical instructions and managing abstract and concrete variables.

• Experience with MotionBuilder and Adobe Premiere is a plus.

• Understanding of common state machine flow in any game engine is advantageous.

• Familiarity with Insomniac's proprietary tools is preferred.
