
Senior Cinematic Animator – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop high-quality in-game cinematics utilizing both motion capture and hand-key animation techniques.
• Lead the cinematic workflow from script analysis and scene layout to final integration within the game engine.
• Work collaboratively with Animation Directors and Lead Animators to craft cinematics that align with the game's artistic vision and cinematographic style.
• Assist in establishing and upholding performance benchmarks while coordinating with various departments for seamless engine integration.
• Enhance body and facial character performances to produce lifelike and captivating scenes.
• Engage in team feedback sessions, showcase work, and integrate constructive feedback.
• Monitor progress and manage tasks using Jira and Flow.
• Communicate progress and any potential challenges to the Animation Director and Project Management team.
• Mentor junior artists.
• Undertake additional related duties as assigned.
• Candidates must possess authorization to work in the United States.
• Proficient in Maya.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to compute figures and amounts, including discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Capability to apply basic algebra and geometry concepts.
• Experience with MotionBuilder is advantageous.
• Knowledge of Adobe Premiere is beneficial.
• Understanding of common state machine flow in any game engine is a plus.
• Familiarity with Insomniac proprietary tools is preferred.
