Senior CGL Claims Technical Consultant – Litigation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Manage a diverse portfolio of intricate, high-exposure CGL claims independently.

• Perform comprehensive investigations and provide timely coverage assessments.

• Analyze complex indemnity and hold harmless agreements while assessing additional insured coverage.

• Develop and implement litigation strategies in collaboration with and oversight of defense counsel.

• Negotiate and resolve claims of significant severity.

• Identify and explore opportunities for risk transfer and subrogation.

• Work closely with internal teams and external specialists.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5 to 10+ years of experience in casualty claims with an insurance provider.

• Proficient in managing claims with substantial exposure ($250K–$1M+).

• Demonstrated capability to lead litigation strategies and negotiate high-value settlements.

• In-depth understanding of coverage interpretation and multi-jurisdictional legal systems.

• Strong financial acumen, including skills in reserving, expense management, and indemnity oversight.

• Capacity to make autonomous decisions and exercise significant authority on complex claims.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
