This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Analyze data or insights to identify trends in the industry and consumer behavior.
• Review and engage external data service providers to fulfill the analytical requirements of the role.
• Formulate long-term development strategies for various product categories.
• Create exit strategies for products that do not succeed.
• Build trusting relationships with customers to enhance pricing and service quality.
• Develop and place customer orders appropriately to ensure product availability that aligns with consumer needs.
• Establish the positioning of a product category to optimize visibility.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to set competitive pricing and promotional strategies for product categories.
• Work with buyers and merchandisers to broaden product categories.
• Forecast product demand to maintain sustainable inventory levels.
• Recommend and assist in the rollout of new products across all categories.
• Partner with sales leads and customers to enhance sales and margins in support of budgets.
• Provide category trends to inform short- and long-term strategies.
• Manage budget development and revenue responsibilities for product categories.
• Promote a collaborative work environment by encouraging effective communication and cross-training initiatives to boost team productivity, versatility, and skill growth.
• Take on additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned by management.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Over 7 years of experience in a Category Manager role.
• In-depth knowledge of Category Management, Marketing, and Sales principles.
• Strong expertise in data analysis and forecasting techniques.
• Good understanding of the pricing landscape in the US and EU; experience with product launch pricing is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to design workflows and procedures, develop innovative solutions, promptly identify and resolve issues, and effectively coordinate projects.
• Demonstrates proficiency in project management and coordination.
• Exhibits professional experience working collaboratively within a team setting.
• Capacity to generate innovative solutions.
• Skilled in drafting routine reports and correspondence.
• Possesses strong verbal communication skills, capable of addressing groups of customers or employees within an organization.
• Must have excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrates a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in work.
• Shows diligence in completing tasks punctually, utilizing effective time management skills.
