Senior Category Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to procure indirect third-party services and solutions for Sales, Marketing, HR, Finance, Facilities, and various other departments.

• Develop and execute strategic category plans alongside future supplier partnership roadmaps.

• Oversee all activities and processes related to designated categories.

• Lead or assist in the creation of RFX documents, analysis, supplier selection, and recommendations presented to senior management.

• Review and edit third-party contracts, negotiate commercial terms, and ensure adherence to Delegation of Authority requirements.

• Discover innovative procurement solutions that yield savings and enhance process efficiencies.

• Conduct procurement reporting and management information analysis to pinpoint areas for improvement.

• Sustain supplier contractual and business relationships, leading or aiding in supplier business reviews.

• Execute due diligence and integration activities concerning acquisition strategies.

• Drive procurement change initiatives aimed at enhancing business performance.

• Maintain an expert understanding of global supply markets, competitors, and product innovations.

• Organize cross-functional stakeholder meetings to synchronize on progress and opportunities.

• Identify and mitigate obstacles, assist in resolutions, and ensure satisfaction among internal business partners.

• Transition between strategic thought and detailed analysis.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, finance, business, or a related field.

• Over 10 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or a related area achieving similar job outcomes.

• Extensive category knowledge in Sales & Marketing, Professional Services, and Facilities.

• Familiarity with ERP and Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools.

• Availability to work five days a week during specified hours.

• Capability to sit for prolonged periods, typically 7–8 hours a day.

• Proficiency in operating computer and phone systems while typing and using multiple software applications simultaneously.

• Experience with Coupa is a plus.

• An advanced degree is advantageous.

• Professional certifications such as CPM, CPSM, CIRM, or CPIM are a plus.
