📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement high-performance and scalable backend services utilizing Go.

• Create and maintain RESTful APIs, Formance ledger, WorkOS, and integrations for processing platforms.

• Produce clean, well-tested, and maintainable code that adheres to best practices and coding standards.

• Utilize Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles to effectively model intricate business domains.

• Actively engage in code reviews, offering constructive feedback to uphold code quality and consistency.

• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to comprehend requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Contribute to the definition and enhancement of our system architecture and engineering processes.

• Efficiently troubleshoot and resolve production issues.

• Offer guidance and support during the migration from TypeScript to Go for backend development.

• Keep abreast of the latest trends and technologies in Go, database systems, and software development methodologies.

• Contribute to technical documentation and facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience (6+ years) in software development with a strong emphasis on backend development, particularly in creating and deploying high-scale, reliable services (preferably in Fintech, Payments, or high-throughput systems).

• Proficient in Go.

• A passion for crafting innovative financial products and a commitment to customer experience – you are an advocate for what’s best for users.

• Practical experience integrating with and managing card scheme rails (e.g., Visa), including understanding scheme rules, message flows, and real-world production challenges related to authorizations, clearing, settlement, and disputes.

• Familiarity with the best practices, standards, and requirements of the payments industry.
