Senior CAM Programmer – Fusion 360, Multi-Axis CNC

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Create precise CAM toolpaths in Autodesk Fusion 360 for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machining.

• Program intricate milling and turning processes for both metals and plastics.

• Enhance machining strategies considering material properties, tolerances, tooling, and machine capabilities.

• Simulate and validate toolpaths to detect collisions, gouging, and inefficient machining practices.

• Set up, adjust, and document CNC post-processors for various machine environments.

• Develop setup sheets, tooling lists, and documentation for machining strategies.

• Generate instructional materials and guides on CAM programming techniques and best practices.

• Assess first-part outcomes and inspection feedback to refine machining strategies.

• Adjust toolpaths based on quality, cycle time, and manufacturability criteria.

• Record technical decisions for downstream manufacturing teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of practical CAM programming experience.

• Advanced expertise in Autodesk Fusion 360 Manufacturing/CAM.

• Demonstrated success in programming 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machining operations.

• In-depth knowledge of milling, turning, tooling, feeds and speeds, and toolpath optimization.

• Experience in configuring or modifying CNC post-processors.

• Strong grasp of GD&T and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.

• Background in machining aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, or engineering plastics.

• Exceptional written English skills and the ability to clearly document complex CAM workflows.

• No prior AI experience is necessary.
