Senior Business Systems Analyst – Nightshift

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Partnering with digital product managers (DPM), business system owners, and users to effectively gather the appropriate business requests and translate them into precise specifications.

• Acting as a liaison between the DPM, business users, software engineers, and QA analysts for the implementation of software solutions.

• Collaborating with business users and DPM/Proxy DPM to ensure all stakeholder requests are accurately captured and translated into system specifications.

• Developing user stories based on epics or broader scope stories defined by the DPM/Proxy DPM.

• Ensuring that user stories meet the INVEST and DOR criteria.

• Working with the Sprint team to decompose stories into smaller vertical slices.

• Identifying and documenting Acceptance Criteria for user stories.

• Collaborating with testers to guarantee that all software components undergo sufficient testing.

• Reviewing test cases in Test Rails and working with Developers and Testers to determine the appropriate number and types of tests required for the story, as well as the story's Definition of Done (DOD).

• Accepting the story on behalf of the DPM/Proxy DPM and confirming that it meets the DOD.

• Collaborating with QA to document bugs found in non-production environments and tracking them in Jira.

• Assisting the PDM/Proxy DPM in prioritizing non-production bugs and issues based on their potential impact on Production.

• Supporting the Support group in identifying the Definition of Ready (DOR) for Production bugs.

• Leading end-to-end/integration testing and assisting the DPM in planning the testing effort.

• Maintaining product and system documentation using Confluence, Miro, and other tools.

• Collaborating with BPMs to analyze, map, and communicate current and future state business processes.

• Continuously fostering relationships with business users to enhance understanding of business processes.

• Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the Product Team.

• Capacity to grasp new business concepts and technologies.

• Experience in Agile software development in a Product Owner or comparable role.

• Familiarity with the Insurance business domain through prior experience or training on the job.

• Knowledge of Snowflake (SnowSQL), PowerBI, test plan creation and management, and test automation principles is advantageous.

• Strong customer service capabilities to provide comprehensive support to end users/business owners.

• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate and comprehend the English language.

• Proficient command of the English language, encompassing the ability to write and understand written documents, emails, and other forms of electronic communication.

• Ability to discuss, articulate, and simplify technology for non-technical individuals.
