• Take charge of the daily administration, configuration, and reliability of NetSuite and associated financial systems (Blackline, Kyriba, Brex, Lukka), acting as the primary technology partner for Kraken's Finance & Accounting teams.
• Handle a high volume of NetSuite support tickets with a prompt response approach, ensuring seamless month-end closing and other essential accounting processes.
• Oversee the complete delivery of NetSuite enhancements and projects — from gathering requirements with Finance stakeholders to development, testing, and implementation.
• Design, construct, and sustain integrations between NetSuite and third-party applications, collaborating with Enterprise Integration, Data Warehouse, and Engineering teams on cross-functional data initiatives.
• Advocate for AI-driven process automation within the accounting function by identifying opportunities to replace manual, multi-day workflows with intelligent, system-driven solutions and actively pilot AI tools within the NetSuite ecosystem and connected platforms.
• Lead initiatives for IPO readiness focused on reducing closing times and establishing scalable, audit-compliant processes that support ongoing growth.
• Collaborate with Finance leadership to comprehend current business processes, identify gaps, and propose scalable solutions that facilitate a growing, multi-entity global operation.
• Work with SI partners on outsourced projects, providing co-design and co-development oversight to ensure successful outcomes.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to the overall development of Kraken's financial systems architecture.
• 6+ years of hands-on NetSuite techno-functional experience, encompassing NetSuite OneWorld administration, configuration, and third-party integrations.
• Proven proficiency in writing and managing NetSuite scripts and workflows utilizing SuiteScript 2.0 and SuiteFlow.
• Extensive knowledge of finance and accounting processes - AR, AP, GL, P2P, Treasury, RevRec, Book Close, and the systems that support them.
• Experience delivering end-to-end ERP implementations or significant enhancements in a consulting or individual contributor capacity (4–6 mid-scale or 2–3 enterprise implementations).
• Strong foundational skills in business systems analysis: capable of leading requirements sessions, producing clear documentation, and translating complex technical concepts for non-technical Finance stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage a high-volume support queue while simultaneously advancing project work - organized, responsive, and composed under pressure.
• Experience collaborating with compliance, risk, and audit teams on SOX or SOC-type engagements.
• An AI-native mindset - actively seeking opportunities to implement AI tools to minimize manual work, enhance accuracy, and expedite financial closing cycles, with examples of previous applications.
