Senior Business Systems Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Take the lead in collecting and documenting both functional and non-functional requirements for critical and highly complex projects.

• Create and maintain high-quality user stories that outline requirements and acceptance criteria.

• Work in collaboration with systems architects to ensure that proposed solutions align with the organization's long-term goals.

• Map and document APIs, integrations, and any relevant technical agreements.

• Analyze current-state (As-Is) workflows, identify bottlenecks, and design optimized future-state (To-Be) processes aimed at maximizing the ROI of systems.

• Serve as an internal consultant, managing expectations while clearly communicating project progress and associated risks.

• Engage in upstream activities, collaborating on the refinement and detailing of requirements.

• Supervise the development of test plans and verify that technical delivery aligns strictly with business requirements.

• Generate effective documentation that emphasizes what truly adds value to the team.

• Mentor mid-level and junior analysts in technical development by sharing best practices in systems analysis.

• Collaborate with PMs, Tech Leads, Agile Coaches, and other team members to ensure high-quality outcomes.

• Assist in defining and detailing the scope of initiatives, contributing to estimates and predictability.

• Join prioritization meetings, supplying relevant insights regarding requirements and their impacts.

• Create and elaborate on user stories in Jira, ensuring they are clear and aligned with product objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in similar roles that act as a bridge between IT and Business.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

• Extensive knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).

• Strong experience with SQL for data analysis and system validation.

• Proficiency in modeling tools such as UML, BPMN, Lucidchart, or Visio.

• Understanding of system integration through APIs (REST/SOAP).

• Familiarity with backlog management tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.

• Competence in writing user stories and defining acceptance criteria.

• Experience with upstream processes, requirements refinement, and prioritization.

• Ability to produce concise and useful documentation for the team.

• Strong collaborative skills with a diverse range of profiles across product, technology, and Agile teams.

• Well-organized and focused on priorities, with the ability to juggle multiple demands.

• Proactive in seeking information, aligning expectations, and recommending improvements.

• Clear and objective communication that aligns with Sicredi’s core values.

• Autonomy to make decisions in uncertain situations.

• Excellent negotiation and influencing skills with stakeholders at various levels.

• Preferred: Knowledge of in-memory and NoSQL databases.

• Preferred: Relevant certifications like CBAP, CCBA, CSPO, or PMP.
