This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +17 more states.
• Collect requirements for reporting, dashboards, and data stores through business analysis.
• Convert business requirements into implementation specifications.
• Develop data sources such as SQL stored procedures, Business Objects Universes, Microstrategy Cubes, Tableau Data Extracts, and other approved sources.
• Generate reports and dashboards utilizing Crystal Reports, Power BI, SSRS, Microstrategy, Tableau, and other sanctioned tools.
• Ensure report and dashboard accessibility and performance for both external and internal users.
• Provide training to team members.
• Design and execute technology best practices, guidelines, and repeatable processes.
• Create test cases and test reports prior to production deployment.
• Enhance query, report, and data store performance using SQL methodologies.
• Engage in industry and professional networks.
• Collaborate with Business units, Data Integration Engineers, Data Architects, and the team to refine processes and encourage tool adoption.
• Mentor and coach team members.
• Lead design decisions with a focus on customer and organizational needs.
• Innovate BI projects and designs to enhance user experience and efficiency.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university, coupled with four to six years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Over 5 years of experience writing T-SQL stored procedures.
• More than 5 years of experience in Crystal Reports Development, SSRS, Power BI, or similar tools.
• At least 2 years of experience in Star Schema modeling and methodology.
• Strong comprehension of Agile, Scrum, and/or Kanban development methodologies.
• Familiarity with SSIS and best practices in ETL.
• Working knowledge of online transactional (OLTP) processing.
• Advanced understanding of analytical processing (OLAP) databases, tabular models, and commonly used EDW models/schemas.
• Must be adaptable to change, work collaboratively, and resolve conflicts effectively.
• Knowledge of or willingness to learn Agile / DevOps values.
• Must have reliable, high-speed internet access with adequate bandwidth.
• Travel may be necessary to attend meetings and visit locations across the country.
