This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Implement the Enterprise Data Strategy and Governance initiatives.
• Oversee consumption platforms and ensure consistent enterprise-wide consumption governance.
• Offer BI and analytics consultation throughout the organization to utilize data for actionable insights.
• Administer and manage enterprise-wide BI and analytics platforms.
• Transform business requirements into accessible and governed solutions.
• Collect data and design KPIs and visualizations tailored for various audiences across the enterprise.
• Collaborate with IT Infrastructure and vendors to sustain BI applications and platforms.
• Configure various environments in accordance with best practices.
• Develop governance processes for the platform and implement them across the user community.
• Work with business unit leaders, as well as Product, Data, and Technology teams, to evaluate data, KPI, and metric requirements.
• Ensure data accuracy and support reuse and consistency.
• Deliver live dashboards and reports across multiple delivery platforms, emphasizing self-service enablement.
• Assess available data and KPIs against management requests to establish new metrics.
• Maintain metadata and oversee KPI/metric ownership through a stewardship model.
• Analyze data for causal relationships, trends, correlations, outliers, and anomalies.
• Reconcile and validate dashboards and reports to ensure high-quality insight delivery.
• Identify process enhancements, automate manual tasks, optimize data delivery, and redesign infrastructure for scalability.
• Manage access controls for BI platforms, reports, and dashboards.
• Identify and document BCP/DR and high-availability and recoverability criteria.
• Assist less experienced colleagues through knowledge sharing, templates, and reusable artifacts.
• Engage in stakeholder reviews and design sessions.
• Provide data, reports, and information to management.
• Monitor technology-related errors and collaborate cross-functionally on complex solutions and improvements.
• Enhance policies, procedures, and processes within your area of authority.
• Address high-level issues that team members are unable to resolve.
• Stay updated with technology trends and contribute to high-level IT decisions.
• Monitor platform usage, database sizes, compute resources, and third-party expenses for cost efficiency.
• Advocate for data transformation and innovative working methods.
• Manage communications and partnerships with senior leaders, functional managers, and staff.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related quantitative field is required.
• A minimum of five to seven years of experience in BI Analyst-related roles.
• At least two years of experience in a senior technical role.
• Highly skilled in business intelligence platforms, particularly Power BI and Tableau.
• Proficient in MS Azure Services related to BI and Analytics.
• Expertise in Power BI Administration and Development, with relevant certifications.
• Highly adept at configuring and managing enterprise-wide platforms following best practices.
• Proficient in designing and implementing SDLC processes for BI platform governance.
• Strong knowledge in Data Governance, Stewardship, and Metadata Management.
• Highly skilled in developing reports, dashboards, self-service BI, and visualizations.
• Experience with technical documentation, metadata dictionaries, data validation rules, quality acceptance criteria, SDLC, Agile, and ITILv4 frameworks.
• Expert in SQL.
• Familiarity with relational databases such as AuroraDB, IBM DB2, MemSQL, MS SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres, Redshift, or Snowflake.
• Experience with NoSQL databases including Cassandra, DynamoDB, Redis, or MongoDB.
• Expertise in analyzing structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
• Experience with data from internal core systems and third-party providers like Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, Zillow, CoreLogic, MLS Data, Public Records, and Property Data.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office or Google G-Suite, Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft SharePoint.
• Ability to conduct root cause analysis and guide the team towards solutions.
• Capable of prioritizing multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proven track record of effective leadership and driving results in a matrixed management setting.
• Ability to think critically, evaluate facts and data, draw conclusions, and assess downstream impacts and risks.
