This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.
• Utilize extensive expertise in business intelligence, data analysis, and technical proficiencies to develop and implement sophisticated solutions.
• Engage actively in the design and development of new BI applications and reports, concentrating on delivering actionable insights while ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
• Maintain and enhance existing BI solutions, addressing reported issues and incorporating new features as necessary.
• Create custom software to expand the functionality of ERP and CRM systems.
• Collaborate with data engineers, fellow BI developers, and team members to ensure the effective operation and acceptance of BI solutions.
• Support project leadership on complex projects and work independently or with minimal supervision.
• Apply knowledge of Power BI, SSRS, SSAS, and other BI tools to produce interactive dashboards and reports.
• Collaborate with the software development team to integrate BI functionalities into other applications.
• Use understanding of relational database design to develop the database layer for applications.
• Establish and maintain ETL processes, data warehouses, and database security strategies.
• Compile project progress reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field PLUS 8 years of experience in Business Intelligence development.
• Advanced knowledge of BI and reporting tools such as Power BI, SSRS, and SSAS.
• Proficient in T-SQL and other query languages.
• Strong understanding of database platforms and technologies including MS SQL Server, MS Access, MySQL, OLTP, and OLAP.
• Familiarity with the MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Detail-oriented with a proven ability to complete assignments accurately.
• Capability to leverage AI and emerging technologies to streamline workflows, enhance operational processes, and foster company-wide innovation.
• Effective communication skills in both verbal and written formats (technical and non-technical information).
• Ability to communicate directly with clients and occasionally serve as the primary point of contact.
• Proven success in working both as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving requirements.
• Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
