Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Develop intricate and comprehensive statistical analyses and modeling of clinical and operational data, ensuring outputs are clear and pertinent to stakeholders. This includes opportunity analyses, clinical trends, operational KPIs, predictive modeling, program evaluation, customer reporting, product development, and ad-hoc analytics.

• Engage in the design and creation of statistical analyses and reports aimed at examining and presenting extensive data to uncover underlying patterns and trends related to volumes, operational efficiency, cohort analysis, and clinical performance.

• Analyze vast datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.

• Utilize research and evaluation standards, descriptive statistics, and data management principles to convert complex data into meaningful content.

• Present findings through verbal, written, and graphical communication methods, offering recommendations to enhance organizational performance.

• Independently carry out analysis, development, and enhancement of analytical and operational BI solutions to meet business needs.

• Leverage knowledge of dimensional data modeling techniques, data warehousing, design, and concepts to create balanced scorecard designs as well as dashboards and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).

• Keep up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in Business Intelligence that can help achieve organizational goals.

• Analyze extensive datasets of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data to uncover insights and work with business partners to generate business value.

• Create interactive and/or advanced visualizations (Tableau) that enhance analytics storytelling to facilitate business decisions.

• Navigate across multiple business lines and derive holistic insights from large datasets.

• Interpret and construct complex SQL queries for both ad-hoc and ETL purposes.

• Provide direction and mentorship to less experienced team members.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Strong comprehension of Data Warehousing Concepts.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in a scientific, technical, healthcare informatics, or mathematics field.

• Experience: A minimum of five (5) years in data analytics, data science, data warehousing, data lakes and marts, metadata management, and dimensional modeling is required.

• Additional Licenses/Certifications: Certification in Tableau or Power BI, or relevant visualization tools is preferred.

• Proficient in advanced analytics tools and programming languages (SAS, R, Python, Java, Spark, Hadoop, Alteryx, SQL); familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, QlikView, and others) is preferred.

• Certified in Epic Cogito Data Warehouse & Caboodle Data Model. Ongoing Epic certification maintenance as per Epic Corporation standards is preferred.
