This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create and implement a thorough business development strategy that aligns with corporate growth objectives.
• Influence and define requirements early in the acquisition process.
• Oversee the complete business development lifecycle, which includes identifying opportunities, developing capture strategies, providing proposal support, and managing contract transitions.
• Build and sustain relationships with Department of Defense (DoD) and government decision-makers, as well as industry partners and integrators.
• Work collaboratively with internal departments and leadership teams to ensure the success of customers.
• Provide weekly updates and progress reports.
• Contribute to business development processes, which encompass CRM, formal capture, and proposal workflows.
• Identify, forecast, and secure new opportunities while nurturing relationships with both new and existing customers.
• Recognize strategic inflection points within the marketplace.
• Develop and present strategic and business growth opportunities, incorporating market and competitive analyses.
• Monitor government portals, notices, and postings daily for opportunities that fit strategically and tactically.
• Offer support for capture planning and execution.
• Perform other assigned tasks.
• A High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required; an associate’s degree or higher is preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, capture management, or sales within the Federal Government and/or Department of Defense information technology sector.
• Proven experience in developing and executing market-entry and growth strategies.
• Demonstrated success in securing both small and large-scale DoD contracts, preferably in information technology.
• Experience with POM processes and contracting vehicles such as IDIQ.
• Proven ability to cultivate relationships with federal acquisition offices and collaborate with subcontractors and prime Federal Contractors.
• Experience in pursuing tactical, operational, and strategic business development opportunities.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
• An active Secret security clearance, or the capability to obtain and maintain one as necessary.
• Knowledge of Federal, DoD, and commercial sectors.
• Ability to identify, qualify, pursue, and secure Federal and DoD contract opportunities.
• Proficiency in CRM, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and industry-standard software and databases.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, business judgment, organizational, follow-up, detail-oriented, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, along with editing and proofreading abilities.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities, meet competing deadlines, work independently and collaboratively, and handle confidential information.
• Ability to work in confined rack spaces and perform specific physical activities, including regularly lifting up to 10 pounds.
• Must fulfill applicable work authorization requirements; the employer participates in E-Verify.
