This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Meet annual sales objectives and revenue goals for designated accounts through proactive sales efforts and client engagement.
• Cultivate, maintain, and grow relationships with current and potential pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients.
• Create and implement account plans, client call strategies, sales tactics, and long-term account growth initiatives.
• Provide weekly reports on sales activities and business updates to management.
• Follow up on leads and discover new business prospects.
• Collect and relay market intelligence and competitive insights.
• Showcase and advocate for the business unit's capabilities and service offerings.
• Recognize cross-selling opportunities across various business units.
• Manage customer expectations and contribute to customer satisfaction efforts.
• Work with internal teams to devise and deliver integrated client solutions.
• Organize and facilitate client visits and business meetings.
• Review client quotes and aid in achieving commercial goals.
• Utilize Salesforce (SFDC) for managing customer information, sales activities, opportunity management, and pipeline forecasting.
• Oversee sales opportunities and maintain precise revenue forecasts.
• Collaborate across business units to identify and secure multi-service opportunities.
• Assist in proposal development and scope discussions.
• Engage in strategic account teams and corporate account planning activities.
• Lead client presentations, business reviews, and commercial conversations.
• Examine industry trends and market conditions to spot potential business opportunities.
• Manage strategic accounts and intricate sales initiatives.
• Offer guidance on RFPs, quotes, and protocol interpretation.
• Direct negotiations for Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and preferred provider agreements.
• Share best practices and contribute to the training and development of the sales organization.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience selling Real World Data (RWD), Real World Evidence (RWE), RWD services, healthcare data solutions, or related offerings directly to pharmaceutical or biotechnology firms.
• At least 5 years of experience engaging with mid-level decision makers and executive stakeholders within pharmaceutical or biotechnology organizations.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience managing strategic accounts or complex sales opportunities.
• At least 3 years of experience using customer relationship management (CRM) systems for opportunity management, account management, and pipeline forecasting.
• Experience in negotiating commercial agreements, contracts, statements of work, Master Service Agreements (MSAs), preferred provider agreements, or similar business arrangements.
• Advanced industry knowledge.
• Highly consultative approach to client engagement and solution development.
• Ability to identify, cultivate, and expand strategic client relationships.
• Ability to spot opportunities across various business units.
• Proven leadership in client-facing settings.
• Ability to effectively present to executive and senior-level stakeholders.
• Capability to influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to manage and motivate client-facing teams.
• Strong financial understanding, including budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, and business performance management.
• Ability to assess commercial opportunities and support pricing decisions.
• Competence in managing challenging client, operational, or financial situations.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Strong customer orientation and relationship management capabilities.
• Demonstrated negotiation skills in complex client environments.
• Ability to differentiate service offerings from competing alternatives.
• Proven ability to acquire, nurture, and sustain client relationships.

• Ability to manage strategic, domestic, regional, and transatlantic client relationships.
• Approximately 35% travel is required, with overnight travel accounting for about 50% of total travel.
• Flexibility to participate in meetings across different time zones.
• Occasional extended work hours may be necessary.
• Preferred: Master’s degree.
• Preferred: Over 3 years of experience in developing and executing strategic business plans.
• Preferred: More than 3 years of experience in supporting drug development, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or CRO environments.
• Preferred: At least 2 years of experience leading global or cross-regional commercial initiatives.
