This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Achieve annual sales objectives and revenue goals for designated accounts through proactive sales efforts and client engagement.
• Build, nurture, and enhance relationships with current and potential pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients.
• Create and implement account plans, client call strategies, sales tactics, and long-term growth plans for accounts.
• Provide weekly updates on sales activities and business performance to management.
• Follow up on leads to identify new business prospects.
• Collect and relay market intelligence, competitive insights, industry trends, and market conditions.
• Present and advocate for the business unit's capabilities and service offerings.
• Identify opportunities for cross-selling across various business units.
• Manage customer expectations while supporting initiatives for customer satisfaction and retention.
• Collaborate with internal teams, sales representatives, and business leaders to deliver cohesive client solutions and secure multi-service opportunities.
• Organize and facilitate client visits, business meetings, presentations, business reviews, and commercial discussions.
• Review client quotations and provide feedback aligned with commercial objectives.
• Utilize Salesforce (SFDC) for managing customer information, sales activities, opportunity tracking, and pipeline forecasting.
• Manage sales opportunities while maintaining precise revenue forecasts.
• Assist in proposal development and scope discussions.
• Participate in strategic account teams and corporate account planning efforts.
• Share best practices and contribute to sales training and development programs.
• Oversee strategic accounts and complex sales initiatives.
• Provide guidance on RFPs, quotes, and protocol interpretation.
• Lead negotiations for Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and preferred provider agreements.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 5 years of experience selling Real World Data (RWD), Real World Evidence (RWE), RWD services, healthcare data solutions, or related offerings directly to pharmaceutical or biotechnology companies.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience engaging with mid-level decision-makers and executive stakeholders within pharmaceutical or biotechnology organizations.
• Over 3 years of experience managing strategic accounts, complex sales opportunities, or both.
• More than 3 years of experience using customer relationship management (CRM) systems for opportunity management, account oversight, and pipeline forecasting.
• Experience in negotiating commercial agreements, contracts, statements of work, Master Service Agreements (MSAs), preferred provider agreements, or similar business arrangements.
• Advanced knowledge of the industry.
• A highly consultative approach to client engagement and solution development.
• Ability to identify, develop, and expand strategic client relationships.
• Skill in recognizing opportunities across multiple business units.
• Demonstrated leadership in client-facing settings.
• Proficient in presenting effectively to executive and senior-level stakeholders.
• Capable of influencing cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to manage and inspire client-facing teams.
• Strong financial acumen, encompassing budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, and business performance management.
• Ability to assess commercial opportunities and support pricing decisions.
• Competence in managing challenging client, operational, or financial situations.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Strong customer orientation and relationship management capabilities.
• Proven negotiation skills in complex client environments.
• Ability to differentiate service offerings from competing alternatives.
• Demonstrated success in acquiring, growing, and retaining client relationships.
• A strong focus on client retention and customer satisfaction.
• Capability to manage strategic, domestic, regional, and transatlantic client relationships.
• Approximately 35% travel required, with overnight travel comprising about 50% of total travel.
