This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.
• Identify critical business processes and essential data elements within business units that align with Enterprise Data Management and Governance policies, standards, and procedures.
• Define and validate processes that are essential to the business alongside associated critical data elements (CDEs).
• Propose, onboard, review, update, and manage CDEs and their accompanying business metadata.
• Conduct business-process mapping and traceability mapping.
• Review assignments of trusted sources.
• Establish Data Quality rules and standards.
• Implement and monitor Data Quality rules, activities, issues, risks, and mitigation strategies.
• Engage in Data Quality Issue Management Groups and Data Domain Working Groups.
• Escalate Data Quality issues to the Enterprise Data Governance Council when necessary.
• Assist in the resolution of Data Quality Issues.
• Maintain the enterprise metadata repository and catalogue, which includes business terms, definitions, classifications, and Data Quality rules.
• Oversee data security, privacy, retention, and archiving requirements.
• Report or escalate data privacy issues and support adherence to privacy and corporate policies.
• Define rules for Data Privacy, including archiving, retention, and data destruction requirements.
• Ensure data alignment with national and regional regulations as well as corporate ethical standards.
• Collaborate with Technical Data Stewards, the Metadata Center of Excellence (COE), Data Domain Working Group, Chief Privacy Officer, CDAO, and other business stakeholders.
• Equivalent combination of advanced education and relevant experience.
• At least 8 years of experience managing business processes or making technical decisions on the business side.
• Strong negotiation, facilitation, and presentation skills.
• Experience in negotiating with vendors for relevant products and services.
• Knowledge of current and emerging application software products and tools.
• Project management experience, including successful completion of multi-million dollar projects on time, within budget, and with quality results.
• Strong analytical and architectural capabilities.
• Ability to manage a high volume of internal client relationships.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business analytics, computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
• Strong understanding of Data and Analytics, including emerging trends.
• Comprehensive understanding of banking operations, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in managing project budgets.
• Familiarity with machine learning, data analytics, and artificial intelligence within financial institutions.
• Experience in banking or financial services, especially in a specific niche area.
• Knowledge of Financial Services Regulatory Reporting.
• Fluency in the English language is required.
• Must be able to work the 1st shift in the United States of America.
