Senior Business Analytics Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee comprehensive analytics and AI-driven workflow projects, encompassing problem identification, stakeholder collaboration, solution development, insight generation, and measurable business outcomes.

• Collaborate closely with Finance stakeholders to gain insights into planning, forecasting, and reporting processes, identifying areas for enhancement through data, automation, and AI.

• Convert unclear Finance and business challenges into structured analytical frameworks that include data modeling, KPI formulation, forecasting, experimentation, and decision-support workflows.

• Create and develop scalable data products such as pipelines, tables, dashboards, reporting layers, and AI-ready datasets that facilitate automated, adaptable, and action-oriented Finance analytics.

• Design and prototype AI-enhanced Finance workflows, including automated business review narratives, anomaly detection, variance analysis, forecast driver identification, natural-language insight discovery, and self-service reporting.

• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Finance Systems, and central data teams to transition prototypes into reliable, governed, production-ready solutions.

• Establish and standardize KPI frameworks for financial metrics to ensure consistency across Finance and business teams.

• Develop and expand dashboards, reporting solutions, and self-service analytics experiences that enhance user adoption, minimize manual reporting, and enable business partners to make quicker, more consistent decisions.

• Examine business and financial metrics to identify key growth, retention, churn, productivity, and efficiency drivers, offering clear data-driven recommendations.

• Implement scalable, repeatable analytics frameworks and best practices that enhance Finance decision-making and create uniformity across planning, forecasting, reporting, and business reviews.

• Enforce robust governance, quality control, and documentation practices to ensure that AI-enabled workflows are precise, explainable, secure, and suitable for Finance decision support.

• Present insights, recommendations, and roadmap trade-offs to senior leadership using clear storytelling, executive-level presentations, and concise written narratives.

• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to enhancing the overall analytical, technical, and AI-readiness skills of the Business Analytics team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative discipline.

• 8-10+ years of experience in analytical roles such as consulting, strategic finance, BizOps, data science, business intelligence, or data engineering.

• Proficient SQL skills with the capability to handle large, complex datasets and integrate multiple data sources.

• Significant experience with BI and visualization tools like Power BI or equivalent platforms.

• Experience collaborating with Finance, GTM, or business leadership teams to facilitate planning, forecasting, reporting, and performance management.

• Proven ability to structure vague problems, conduct thorough analyses, and convert findings into clear business impacts.

• Experience in designing scalable dashboards, reporting solutions, data models, or analytics products that enhance self-service and reduce manual tasks.

• Strong stakeholder management abilities, with a track record of influencing senior business partners and achieving alignment across cross-functional teams.

• Exceptional communication skills, capable of simplifying complex analyses, technical concepts, and business trade-offs into clear, actionable recommendations.

• Demonstrated capability to lead cross-functional projects and achieve results in a matrixed environment.
