Claims Data Analyst – 12-month Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Assist in the migration of data sources into production environments, ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of data processes.

• Participate in a strategic initiative aimed at ingesting and transforming various BDX data sources.

• Implement robust validation and quality control measures.

• Provide insightful claims analytics and insights to business stakeholders.

• Verify and ensure the reasonableness of data decisions, including the management of duplicate claims and differentiating between line of business and claims-made versus occurrence data.

• Examine the fidelity of validation and configuration logic by confirming that appropriate columns are checked, ensuring configurations are logical and functional, and verifying proper handling of validation failures.

• Detect data anomalies within policy or related datasets and escalate these issues to the relevant teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Claims, including data cleanup and working with imperfect claims data.

• A broad background in insurance is preferred, with E&S experience considered ideal.

• SQL: Basic to intermediate proficiency required.

• Excel: Intermediate to advanced proficiency necessary.

• Alteryx: Some experience preferred, but not mandatory.

• Python: Considered a plus.
