Senior Business Analyst, Payments Industry, Business Reporting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Align technology solutions with business strategies to enhance business reporting capabilities, improve technical analyses, increase forecasting accuracy, facilitate operational planning, and optimize performance in Payments.

• Provide continuous business reporting on foundational metrics and proactively identify or anticipate issues where data can offer solutions or strategic insights.

• Engage in the initial and ongoing development, as well as maintenance, of reports and models.

• Sustain and refine historical and forward-looking business metrics and statistics to inform decision-making.

• Develop and assemble daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting packages, including results and variance analysis.

• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and standardization across business lines.

• Foster standard definitions for key data elements and support projects related to data consistency, availability, and quality.

• Identify and deploy technology solutions to minimize manual processes, enhance controls, improve cycle times, and ensure consistency.

• Assist in the transition from a legacy reporting environment to a modern platform and support the ongoing evolution of executive dashboards and reporting.

• Generate one-time ad hoc reports using custom queries against the data repository.

• Collaborate with internal and external partners to gather supporting information and data.

• Develop a unified view of product performance and operational support functions.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and work experience.

• Over 5 years of relevant work experience, ideally in Payments or a related field.

• Ability to independently address complex data and technical challenges associated with reporting, or to do so collaboratively.

• Strong organizational and project management skills to oversee reporting migration and handle ad hoc requests.

• Excellent ability to collaborate with internal customers.

• Familiarity with ThoughtSpot.

• Experience in building reports and managing entitlements in Power BI.

• Proficiency in SQL.

• Experience with Snowflake.

• Advanced skills in Excel.

• Experience with Salesforce Reporting.

• Background in working through the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
