Senior Business Analyst – Financial Services, Retirement Solutions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Interpret intricate requirements related to retirement, asset management, and banking into straightforward, actionable solutions.

• Collaborate closely with client stakeholders, product owners, and technology teams to collect requirements, model processes, and steer solution design and delivery.

• Extract, analyze, and document both business and functional requirements for retirement, asset management, and banking platforms.

• Facilitate JAD/JAR sessions, workshops, and stakeholder interviews.

• Address conflicting priorities between business and IT teams.

• Conduct GAP analysis and document current (AS-IS) and future (TO-BE) business processes.

• Develop process workflows, use cases, wireframes, user stories, and requirement blueprints.

• Utilize activity diagrams, sequence diagrams, and data flow diagrams to depict processes.

• Assess solution alternatives alongside architects and developers.

• Ensure proposed solutions align with regulatory, compliance, and business objectives.

• Own and refine the product backlog in collaboration with product owners.

• Prioritize requirements and change requests based on business value and delivery capacity.

• Serve as the primary liaison among business, operations, and technology teams.

• Assist in Agile/Scrum sprint ceremonies, backlog refinement, and release-readiness tasks.

• Keep abreast of developments in retirement platforms, recordkeeping systems, policy/plan administration tools, cloud technology, and AI-enabled capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of comprehensive business analysis or consulting experience.

• At least 5 years dedicated to financial services, specifically in retirement services, asset management, or banking.

• Proven experience with regulatory and compliance-driven projects affecting retirement, asset management, or banking operations.

• Solid understanding of core financial services platforms and processes, such as policy/plan administration systems, billing, claims, underwriting, or core banking modules.

• Direct project experience with pertinent financial services platforms and processes.

• Experience in supporting large-scale platform implementations or modernization programs, including core system replacements, third-party integrations, or data migration efforts within regulated financial environments.

• Skilled in requirements elicitation, GAP analysis, and documenting AS-IS and TO-BE processes.

• Expertise in backlog management, user story creation, and prioritization within Agile/Scrum frameworks.

• Proficient in stakeholder management across business, operations, and technology functions.

• Familiarity with REST APIs, data mapping, and third-party system integrations.

• Strong judgment to assess and challenge AI-assisted or automated outputs.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Capacity to work autonomously in a fully remote, distributed team across various time zones.

• Ability to deliver results under deadline pressure while adapting to changing scope and priorities.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field is mandatory.
