
Senior Business Analyst – Health Insurance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Collaborate with clients and technical teams to identify business challenges and devise the appropriate analytical solutions.
• Plan and design straightforward to moderately complex business processes and system modifications.
• Provide recommendations to enhance and support business operations.
• Gather business requirements through various techniques, including workshops and interviews, and analyze and document intricate business requirements and processes; communicate these to the relevant stakeholders.
• Develop intricate test case scenarios for testing; oversee the testing of business applications to ensure all client requirements are integrated into the system design.
• Create business requirements documents or user stories to facilitate necessary modifications.
• May plan, allocate, and oversee the work of other business analysts.
• Comprehend simple to complex systems and associated data to extract actionable insights, demonstrating sound judgment and decision-making abilities.
• Assist in providing time estimates for project-related tasks.
• Support the updating of process and procedural documentation.
• Gain a foundational understanding of the technical development cycle for mobile applications or web portals.
• Facilitate support during QA, UAT, and Release phases of the project through defect analysis, change management, etc.
• Undertake any other tasks that may be assigned.
• A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Business Analyst.
• A degree in Business, IT, or any related field.
• Prior experience in the health insurance industry is essential (experience in insurtech is preferred).
• Health Insurance-related domain certification from INS/LOMA or III is a significant advantage.
• Proficiency in business analysis concepts including defining requirements, translating them into technical solutions, and employing an Agile approach to prioritize work into epics and sprints.
• Business analysis skills including facilitation, process documentation, requirements gathering, and user acceptance testing.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines within specified timeframes.
• Experience in an Agile and/or Scrum environment is required.
• Basic knowledge of generating process documentation, documenting system functionality, data integration, and workflow.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Technical writing skills are advantageous.
• Must reside in Canada.
• Must be available to work during CET hours (Central European Time) or adjusted EST hours.
