This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Map and document business processes spanning Trading, Finance, Logistics, and Risk Management — from trade capture and confirmation to settlement, P&L reporting, inventory management, and delivery.
• Define functional requirements and acceptance criteria that convert operational workflows into system logic, data models, and business rules.
• Design process schemas and data flows for commodity trading platforms, encompassing deal lifecycle, cost allocation, scheduling & nominations, shipment tracking, and treasury integration.
• Collaborate with the development team to plan and validate the business architecture of trading solutions, ensuring that built features accurately reflect the dynamics of physical markets.
• Prioritize tasks across releases, assisting the team in determining what to build and when, based on business value and operational dependencies.
• Create clear, organized documentation — including functional specifications, process diagrams, and data dictionaries — that connect domain knowledge with engineering.
• Contribute to the development of AI-enabled workflows and advisory tools by transforming industry knowledge into scalable logic and systems.
• Support stakeholder engagement, from problem identification and analysis to delivering commercially relevant recommendations.
• Extensive understanding of physical commodity trading operations: deal lifecycle, trade confirmation, settlement, P&L reporting, and cost allocation.
• Practical experience with CTRM systems (e.g., Aspect, RightAngle, Allegro, Eka, or custom/in-house platforms) — in roles such as user, business analyst, or implementation lead.
• Familiarity with financial functions in commodity trading: invoicing, accruals, financial reporting, and treasury integration.
• Knowledge of logistics workflows within oil and energy markets: scheduling, nominations, shipment tracking, bill of lading, delivery confirmation, and terminal operations.
• Proven track record in translating business processes into structured requirements, functional specifications, or data models.
• Experience in creating process diagrams (BPMN or equivalent) and collaborating directly with development teams.
• Strong capability in financial modeling and commercial analysis.
• Proficiency in English and Russian.
• Over 5 years of relevant experience in physical commodity trading, energy markets, or CTRM systems.
• Regular travel to Dubai to collaborate with the client’s operations team.
