This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Establish and take responsibility for the product vision, roadmap, and backlog within the domains of enterprise data, analytics, or AI.
• Act as the sole accountable party for product results, delivery effectiveness, and user satisfaction.
• Clearly define and communicate product objectives, success metrics, and value drivers to stakeholders and delivery teams.
• Ensure products are managed with clear ownership, disciplined release practices, and effective lifecycle management.
• Serve as the main liaison between the Chief Data Officer (CDO) and business, finance, and functional leaders for the assigned areas.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize demands, manage trade-offs, and synchronize delivery with business schedules.
• Convert business requirements into clear, actionable specifications.
• Build and sustain trustworthy relationships that facilitate quick decision-making and alignment.
• Maintain a prioritized, well-articulated backlog with explicit acceptance criteria and readiness standards.
• Collaborate with Program Managers, Scrum Masters, and delivery teams to strategize releases and manage dependencies.
• Balance immediate delivery requirements with the long-term health, scalability, and maintainability of the product.
• Identify risks, constraints, or scope trade-offs early to support leadership in decision-making.
• Collaborate with Data Governance, Data Stewards, and Platform Owners to ensure:
• Consistent definitions of KPIs and metric logic.
• Standards for data quality, lineage, and trust.
• Compliance with enterprise data architecture and security protocols.
• Ensure products are operationally ready prior to launch and receive ongoing support post-launch.
• Promote product adoption by ensuring solutions are user-friendly, dependable, and aligned with actual user workflows.
• Define and monitor metrics related to usage, adoption, and value realization.
• Gather feedback and iterate to enhance product experience and impact continually.
• Assist leadership by delivering a clear narrative on what has been accomplished, the value it brings, and future directions.
• Over 5 years of experience in Product Ownership, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Data-oriented roles.
• Demonstrated ability to manage roadmaps, backlogs, and stakeholder relationships in a complex enterprise setting.
• Strong knowledge of data, reporting, analytics, or BI platforms (such as Power BI, Databricks, data warehouses).
• Experience working within Agile or hybrid delivery frameworks alongside engineering and analytics teams.
• Exceptional communication abilities, capable of bridging business goals and technical execution.
• Prior experience in a Chief Data Office, Analytics, or Enterprise Reporting organization is preferred.
• Knowledge of data governance, semantic models, KPI standardization, and self-service analytics is preferred.
• Experience supporting finance, operations, or enterprise-wide reporting areas is preferred.
• Previous experience in a vendor-heavy environment and assisting in the transition to more internal ownership is preferred.
