Senior Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with business leaders, technology executives, subject matter experts, customers, and other stakeholders to identify and comprehend business challenges and analytical requirements.

• Design analytical approaches based on the business context, objectives, challenges, baseline metrics, and stakeholder expectations.

• Conduct and document business and system discovery, analyzing current-state processes, capabilities, value streams, systems, and data.

• Investigate user needs, gather feedback, and assess change impacts.

• Facilitate or engage in workshops, working sessions, and interviews to gather and document business needs and requirements.

• Analyze findings to uncover gaps, change impacts, challenges, assumptions, and opportunities related to people, processes, and technology.

• Direct market, financial, operational, and organizational data analysis to identify trends, extract insights, validate hypotheses, and guide decision-making.

• Create executive presentations and reports supported by business cases, data, and recommendations.

• Assist in future-state design by documenting business requirements, target-state capabilities, processes, and features.

• Lead the requirements gathering and solution documentation process; convert business needs into functional and non-functional requirements.

• Map system and data definitions and assist in testing to ensure alignment with business objectives.

• Collaborate with Project, Research, Product, Change Management, and other teams during implementation phases.

• Develop and maintain requirements documents, process maps, context diagrams, value stream maps, capability maps, findings, and user stories.

• Oversee and manage multiple concurrent projects with strict deadlines.

• Contribute to the Strategic Analysis Center of Excellence.

• Execute additional tasks as assigned by management to support business goals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Proven experience and expertise in leading or supporting analysis in AI transformation projects and process optimization.

• Experience in identifying AI opportunities, use cases, and exploratory initiatives with operations teams.

• Proficient use of AI tools beyond basic prompting, with experience in developing or guiding solutions that have tangible business impacts.

• Familiarity with AI-powered productivity tools such as Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, Co-pilot, or similar is advantageous.

• Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to facilitate group discussions and convey information to stakeholders, including executives.

• Over 5 years of Business Analysis and/or process improvement experience, actively engaging with business users on Research & Discovery or transformation projects.

• Comfort in navigating ambiguity along with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to decompose work components, formulate inquiries, conduct root cause analysis, and lead discussions with subject matter experts.

• Strong business acumen and experience collaborating with technology teams and IT practices.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.

• Quick learner with the ability to synthesize large volumes of information and data.
