Senior Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.

📋 Description

• The Senior Business Analyst position demands outstanding communication and problem-solving abilities, capable of addressing analytical challenges in collaboration with onshore, offshore, and client teams.

• As a vital member of the Agile delivery team, you will drive the creation of business and functional requirements, facilitate communication at all levels, and contribute to the project's strategic roadmap.

• The ideal candidate possesses a diverse skill set, including software engineering, business analysis, mathematics, critical thinking, strong business acumen, excellent communication abilities, and a genuine passion for solving problems.

• This role requires an individual who is highly resourceful, intellectually curious, and possesses solid analytical skills.

• The Senior Business Analyst must go beyond merely analyzing data and be able to convert relevant information into actionable insights that deliver business value to clients.

• This individual should aim to be well-rounded, excelling in various areas such as technical skills, business acumen, operations, and communication proficiencies.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Programmer-Analyst in large or medium IT implementations of enterprise software applications is required.

• At least 3 years of practical experience in managing business analysis activities within a specific domain or analysis area (set of features or functionalities) of platform implementations is essential.

• A comprehensive understanding of and experience working in an Agile environment, along with applied knowledge of SDLC, software development methodologies, and requirements management tools, is necessary.

• Familiarity with SQL and the principles of relational databases is required.

• Experience in analyzing business processes and familiarity with commonly utilized analysis techniques outlined in BABOK® (e.g., Use Cases, User Stories, Flow Diagrams, etc.) is essential.

• Exceptional planning, communication, documentation (writing requirements), organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills are a must.

• Preferred experience includes managing other business analysts (i.e., overseeing day-to-day activities, providing support, coaching) in at least one implementation project from start to finish, including accountability for planning, execution, and status reporting of analysis activities in the domain.

• Preferred experience with object, process, or data modeling and object-oriented application development.

• Preferred experience in the Insurance/Financial Domain.

• CBAP® certification is preferred.

• This position may require occasional travel, up to 30%.
