Senior Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Serve as the Functional Lead within an Agile squad, ensuring comprehensive functional clarity and alignment among stakeholders.

• Mentor and support junior Business Analysts in their daily tasks, deliverables, and adherence to best practices.

• Collaborate with Product Owners and business stakeholders to enhance the backlog, prioritize features, and align with business objectives.

• Take ownership of the quality of functional design and requirements across the commerce platform, encompassing order lifecycle, customer journeys, and integrations.

• Convert business needs into well-defined, structured functional requirements and acceptance criteria.

• Engage actively in Agile ceremonies such as backlog grooming, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Act as the intermediary between technology teams and business stakeholders, facilitating effective communication.

• Interpret technical challenges, constraints, and dependencies into language that resonates with business stakeholders for Product Owners.

• Actively participate in bug triage, root cause analysis, and production support, ensuring precise functional validation.

• Lead and assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, including planning, coordination, and validation of execution.

• Collaborate closely with QA teams to guarantee test coverage, traceability, and quality assurance.

• Support regulated pharmaceutical workflows while maintaining compliance, auditability, and data accuracy standards.

• Promote ongoing enhancement of functional processes, documentation standards, and delivery methodologies.

• Ensure the squad achieves delivery milestones with strong accountability and ownership.

• Identify and implement AI and automation opportunities to improve business processes and facilitate efficient delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8-12 years of experience in Business Analysis and functional leadership is preferred.

• A Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent professional experience is preferred.

• Experience with commerce platforms including eCommerce, order management, and customer experience.

• Demonstrated experience in mentoring or leading junior Business Analysts.

• Strong skills in requirements gathering, functional design, and process modeling.

• Practical experience with UAT, defect management, and production support.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Understanding of system integrations, APIs, and complete application flows.

• Strong capability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly terms.

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.

• Ability to balance customer experience, business objectives, and compliance requirements.
