Business Analyst, Retail

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Retail Technology leadership to assess business requirements across POS, ecommerce, payments, and related systems.

• Convert operational challenges and business goals into organized, actionable requirements.

• Analyze system functionality across upstream and downstream processes to identify gaps and inconsistencies.

• Assist in root cause analysis for complex issues, clearly differentiating between system and process factors.

• Examine system-specific capabilities and integrations across platforms, including familiarity with technologies such as ABAP, CPI, and FE, to gain insights into dependencies, data movement, and downstream business effects.

• Create detailed Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and accompanying functional documentation.

• Define workflows for both current-state and future-state retail technology systems.

• Record system interactions, dependencies, and data flows across various platforms.

• Ensure that requirements are clear, traceable, and aligned with business objectives and technical capabilities.

• Keep comprehensive documentation of system behavior, configurations, and known limitations.

• Develop structured artifacts such as process flows, system diagrams, functional specifications, issue summaries, and resolution documentation.

• Collaborate closely with Retail Operations, IT Support, Application Support, Finance, Compliance, and external vendors.

• Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to guarantee alignment and clarity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Over 2 years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or retail technology environments.

• Demonstrated experience in producing structured documentation (BRDs, functional specifications, process flows).

• Analytical mindset with the capability to dissect complex systems and workflows.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.

• Capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced, cross-functional setting.
