This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Take ownership of and enhance the systems, automation, and infrastructure that support dependable, efficient, and scalable development pipelines.
• Oversee and optimize build and integration systems.
• Diagnose complex build failures, integration conflicts, dependency issues, and infrastructure challenges.
• Enhance development workflows in collaboration with programmers, artists, QA, technical teams, and IT.
• Construct and sustain Unreal Engine, TeamCity, Perforce, continuous integration, and development infrastructure.
• Implement, maintain, and refine automated testing infrastructure while integrating test automation into CI and build workflows.
• Establish and manage Unreal Engine services and infrastructure, including UGS, Zen Server, and Virtual Assets.
• Set up and oversee PlayStation and Xbox build infrastructure, including patches, hotfixes, and DLC builds.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and apply long-term solutions to recurring technical problems.
• Monitor and enhance build times, pipeline performance, and infrastructure utilization.
• Develop automated validation, monitoring, reporting, and alerting systems.
• Lead technical initiatives, mentor junior and mid-level engineers, and set best practices.
• Undertake additional reasonably expected tasks as needed.
• 5+ years of professional experience in build engineering, automation, DevOps, or a similar role in game or software development.
• Proven experience supporting large-scale game projects and development teams.
• At least one shipped AA or AAA title; experience with Unreal Engine is preferred.
• Practical experience with CI/CD systems such as TeamCity, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD.
• Proficient in Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
• Familiarity with both new and legacy Unreal Engine versions, including Horde and Build Graph.
• Comprehensive experience in Perforce administration, configuration, and optimization; knowledge of Git or other version control systems is a plus.
• Experience in implementing, maintaining, and optimizing automated testing infrastructure and CI/build integrations.
• Background in managing large codebases and asset repositories in game development.
• Strong understanding of Windows development environments and build infrastructure.
• Experience in setting up and maintaining Unreal Engine services and infrastructure, including UGS, Zen Server, and Virtual Assets.
• Proven experience managing PlayStation and Xbox build infrastructure, including patches, hotfixes, and DLC builds.
• Capability to perform root-cause analysis and implement sustainable technical solutions.
• Ability to monitor and optimize build times, pipeline performance, and infrastructure utilization.
• Experience in developing automated validation, monitoring, reporting, and alerting systems.
• Strong understanding of software development workflows and continuous integration.
• Ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
• Excellent communication, organization, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Bonus: Experience with cloud-based or hybrid build infrastructure using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Bonus: Familiarity with distributed or remote build infrastructure.
• Bonus: Proficiency in C++ and/or C# within game development.
• Bonus: Knowledge of automated crash reporting, build analytics, or telemetry systems.
• Bonus: Experience with containerization and infrastructure-as-code technologies.

• Must complete I-9 employment eligibility verification and provide documentation authorizing work in the United States.
• Base pay range of $130,000–$180,000.
• Remote work available within the United States.
