Senior Bookkeeper, US Clients

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Oversee comprehensive bookkeeping for a variety of US-based clients across different sectors.

• Ensure the accuracy of financial records using QuickBooks Online.

• Conduct reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, loans, and balance sheets.

• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Reconcile assets, liabilities, mortgages, and funds that are yet to be deposited.

• Prepare and maintain financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.

• Process and reconcile transactions and journals related to payroll.

• Review and analyze financial information to ensure precision and regulatory compliance.

• Collaborate with multiple point-of-sale systems and reconcile sales data.

• Assist with the bookkeeping tasks at the end of the month and year.

• Maintain organized documentation and financial records that are ready for audits.

• Engage professionally with internal stakeholders regarding bookkeeping issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Certification in QuickBooks Online.

• At least 5 years of full-time bookkeeping experience.

• A minimum of 3 years of recent, practical experience with QuickBooks Online.

• Proven experience in supporting US-based clients.

• Strong knowledge of US bookkeeping standards and financial processes.

• Experience with advanced balance sheet reconciliations.

• Familiarity with accounts receivable, accounts payable, loans, assets, liabilities, and undeposited funds.

• Background in payroll journals and payroll-related bookkeeping activities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel at an advanced level.

• Capability to work independently with minimal oversight.

• High attention to detail and exceptional accuracy levels.

• Excellent professional communication skills.

• Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated home office setup.
