Bookkeeper

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Complete bookkeeping cycle for BrightIron clients utilizing their accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Xero) on an accrual basis

• Oversee the general ledger for clients within their accounting software

• Generate monthly account reconciliations and continuities for all balance sheet accounts, as well as selected P&L accounts

• Adhere to documented bookkeeping SOPs and identify recurring issues for process enhancement

• Collaborate effectively and foster relationships with clients and BrightIron team members

• Work in cooperation with Canadian BrightIron team members to ensure seamless handoffs and reduce rework

• Follow established bookkeeping SOPs and highlight recurring challenges for process improvement

• Provide assistance with various ad-hoc requests from clients

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of accounting experience with Canadian or US clients

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and/or Xero

• Skilled in using Excel

• Background in a client-facing accounting position

• Strong communication abilities (both written and verbal), with fluency in English

• High comfort level with various technologies

• Exceptional time management and self-management capabilities

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• High ethical standards and confidentiality in handling sensitive information

• Ability to demonstrate good judgment, take initiative, and be proactive
