This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Oversee general accounting tasks and ensure the maintenance of precise financial records.
• Take ownership of the Chart of Accounts and the General Ledger.
• Record and reconcile financial transactions in compliance with GAAP standards.
• Support and uphold accrual-based accounting processes, including deferred revenue and expenses.
• Prepare and distribute monthly financial reports, encompassing Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet statements.
• Assist with month-end closing activities, reporting, and budget reconciliations.
• Collaborate with external tax accountants to facilitate year-end accounting entries and tax preparation.
• Maintain and refresh recurring financial and operational reports.
• Review banking transactions to ensure accurate recording of all activities.
• Identify discrepancies in accounting and recommend enhancements to processes.
• Develop, document, and enhance accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Support additional accounting and finance projects as assigned.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance positions.
• Profound understanding of GAAP and accrual-based accounting principles.
• Experience in managing the General Ledger and Chart of Accounts.
• Proficient in preparing monthly financial statements (P&L and Balance Sheet).
• Hands-on experience with accounts payable, reconciliations, and payroll processing.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets.
• Familiarity with accounting software and financial systems.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Capability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.
• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Accounting certification or bookkeeping designation.
• Experience in supporting month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Experience working alongside external tax accountants and auditors.
• Knowledge of budgeting, cost accounting, and financial analysis.
• Experience in enhancing accounting processes and internal controls.
• Work remotely Monday - Friday, 40 hours a week (no weekends).
• Vacation: 10 business days annually.
