This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Oversee invoices, reconciliations, and daily financial transactions with precision and punctuality.
• Ensure financial records are accurately maintained across various entities and locations.
• Reconcile accounts while guaranteeing the completeness and integrity of financial information.
• Assist in the month-end closing process and contribute to prompt, accurate reporting for management.
• Take charge of establishing and enhancing bookkeeping procedures for new US venues and ongoing growth.
• Collaborate closely with the Finance Director to develop scalable, efficient finance workflows.
• Identify key priorities, suggest enhancements, and promote best practices with a significant degree of independence.
• Aid with US sales tax reporting and other regular compliance obligations.
• Support payroll coordination and reporting for US operations.
• Serve as a primary finance contact for stakeholders in both Australia and the US.
• Assist in onboarding and mentoring a junior bookkeeper as the team expands.
• Contribute to the development of a structured, high-performing offshore finance support team.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required for the position.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Bookkeeping, or a related field.
• 5–7+ years of experience in bookkeeping, finance operations, or a similar position.
• Strong end-to-end bookkeeping skills, including reconciliations, invoice management, and financial record upkeep.
• Experience in supporting multi-entity or multi-site operations (experience in franchise or high-volume settings is a plus).
• Proficiency in US bookkeeping practices, including payroll and sales tax reporting, is crucial.
• Previous experience with Restaurant365 is preferred; familiarity with similar systems will also be taken into consideration.
• Background in hospitality, food & beverage, retail, or comparable multi-venue settings is highly valued.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and take ownership of processes from the ground up.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with confidence in engaging stakeholders.
• Commercially focused, proactive, and comfortable taking initiative and driving results.
• Proven ability or readiness to mentor and guide a junior team member.
• Willingness to work in an offshore role aligned with US West Coast hours.
