Senior Blockchain Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more locations.

📋 Description

• Design and construct the infrastructure that facilitates digital asset transactions across various blockchain networks.

• Develop and implement blockchain integration services for transaction signing, deposit management, and confirmation monitoring.

• Provide support for EVM, Solana, Polkadot, XRP, and additional blockchain networks.

• Create and sustain gRPC microservices in Go within an event-driven architecture utilizing NATS JetStream.

• Execute transaction state machines featuring idempotency, distributed locking, reliability assurances, and handling of chain reorganizations.

• Collaborate with custody providers to ensure secure transaction signing and wallet management.

• Oversee blockchain networks for deposits, confirmations, and any anomalies.

• Engage in an on-call rotation to address production incidents across the blockchain infrastructure.

• Communicate directly with client technical teams when necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience, ideally within the FinTech sector.

• Strong expertise in Go programming.

• In-depth understanding of blockchain technologies, protocols, and their practical applications.

• Proficient in gRPC and Protocol Buffers.

• Familiarity with message brokers or event streaming systems such as NATS, Kafka, or similar technologies.

• Experience with MongoDB or other document-oriented databases.

• Solid understanding of SQL and relational database schema design.

• Resourceful mindset with a proven ability to achieve results from inception to execution.

• Strong problem-solving capabilities for addressing complex issues in distributed systems.

• Ability to independently develop and test hypotheses and resolve ambiguous challenges.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• A Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience is preferred.

• Experience in banking-as-a-service, brokerage-as-a-service, or payment-as-a-service industries is advantageous.

• Familiarity with digital assets or centralized exchanges is preferred.

• Experience integrating with blockchain custody solutions such as Fireblocks or BitGo is preferred.

• Knowledge of distributed systems patterns including distributed locking, idempotency, state machines, and CQRS is preferred.

• Experience with smart contracts is preferred.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry is preferred.
