Senior Blockchain Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Turkey.

📋 Description

• Create and implement scalable, secure, and dependable blockchain infrastructure that manages real users and real funds.

• Take charge of the architecture and complete lifecycle of blockchain transactions, from initiation and signing to execution, confirmation, reconciliation, and recovery.

• Develop and enhance wallet, custody, key management, and transaction infrastructure across both on-chain and off-chain systems.

• Design integrations among various blockchain networks, architectures, consensus models, and transaction models.

• Develop and integrate smart contracts, particularly within EVM-compatible ecosystems.

• Construct production-grade DeFi solutions, including staking, liquidity pools, DEX integrations, and other on-chain financial workflows.

• Manage intricate blockchain systems from end to end, focusing on security, resiliency, observability, incident response, and operational excellence.

• Influence architectural decisions and technical direction related to security, scalability, reliability, maintainability, and development velocity.

• Recognize technical risks and design systems that remain secure and recoverable in the event of failures.

• Collaborate with product, business, security, and engineering teams to transform ambiguous requirements into solid technical solutions.

• Lead technical discussions, design evaluations, and architectural decisions.

• Guide engineers through technical mentorship, code reviews, constructive feedback, and knowledge sharing.

• Utilize modern engineering tools, including AI-assisted development, while upholding high standards for code quality, security, and engineering rigor.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive software engineering experience with a demonstrated history of designing and managing complex production systems.

• Profound hands-on experience in building and operating production-quality blockchain infrastructure.

• Strong grasp of blockchain architecture across various ecosystems, encompassing consensus mechanisms, transaction models, finality, reorgs, fees, and network-specific behaviors.

• Experience working with multiple blockchain networks and protocol models, rather than being limited to a single ecosystem or virtual machine.

• Thorough understanding of wallet architecture, custody models, key management, transaction signing, and blockchain transaction lifecycles.

• Practical experience with HSMs and secure key management infrastructure.

• Familiarity with MPC-based custody systems or custody platforms like Fireblocks is a significant advantage.

• Solid understanding of cryptographic signing workflows, key security, access controls, and security boundaries within production systems.

• Experience in developing, deploying, and operating smart contracts; familiarity with Solidity is a considerable plus.

• Knowledge of DeFi protocols or use cases such as staking, liquidity pools, DEXs, or similar on-chain financial systems.

• Strong understanding of both on-chain and off-chain architectures and the trade-offs involved.

• Robust knowledge of distributed systems, asynchronous processing, idempotency, failure recovery, and data consistency.

• Experience in managing critical production systems with monitoring, alerting, observability, incident response, and post-incident improvement practices.

• Capability to make informed architectural decisions and clearly articulate trade-offs concerning security, scalability, reliability, operational complexity, and delivery speed.

• Ability to independently tackle high-ambiguity problems and guide them from initial concept to production.

• Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and responsibility for production outcomes.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical decisions across teams.

• Openness to mentor fellow engineers and enhance the technical standards of the team.

• Proficiency in utilizing AI-assisted development tools effectively while maintaining sound engineering judgment and security standards.
