This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Align the scope, schedule, budget, and staffing of BIM/VDC with the overarching project objectives.
• Oversee the execution of BIM/VDC from the pursuit phase and preconstruction through to construction and project closeout.
• Create BIM Execution Plans, model coordination strategies, and schedules for deliverables.
• Act as the main point of contact for BIM/VDC among owners, design teams, contractors, trade partners, and internal staff.
• Establish quality assurance and quality control protocols while identifying and mitigating potential risks.
• Assist Project Leads in multidisciplinary coordination meetings, clash detection, constructability reviews, and resolution of issues.
• Build and nurture relationships with clients, contractors, design partners, and the industry at large.
• Recognize opportunities for new projects, expanded services, and follow-on work.
• Aid in go/no-go decisions, capture planning, proposal development, and strategies for winning bids.
• Engage in client meetings, presentations for shortlisting, strategy sessions for pursuits, industry events, and conferences.
• Convert client objectives into BIM/VDC scopes, work plans, and deliverables.
• Manage assigned consultants and trade partners, including coordinating scope, invoicing, and billing processes.
• Develop and uphold BIM/VDC standards, templates, workflows, and best practices.
• Evaluate and choose BIM/VDC software, such as Autodesk and Bluebeam platforms.
• Propel innovation in Revit and coordination workflows, including automation, dashboards, 4D scheduling, digital twins, reality capture, and prefabrication.
• Provide training and mentorship to project teams.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop BIM/VDC coordinators, specialists, and modelers.
• Offer technical guidance to project managers, discipline leads, and field teams.
• Encourage knowledge sharing and cultivate a collaborative, solutions-focused environment.
• A Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; equivalent experience is also considered.
• Over 8 years of experience in BIM, VDC, construction technology, or digital project delivery.
• More than 3 years of experience leading BIM/VDC on complex AEC projects.
• Proven track record in supporting client relationships, pursuits, proposals, or presentations.
• Advanced skills in Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk Forma, and related platforms.
• Experience in developing BIM Execution Plans, clash detection workflows, and establishing model standards.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation abilities.
• Capability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.
• Background in healthcare, commercial, higher education, infrastructure, or mission-critical sectors.
• A well-established client or industry network within the Eastern U.S. AEC market.
• Experience with 4D/5D integration, digital twins, laser scanning, reality capture, or prefabrication workflows.
• Familiarity with Power BI, automation, scripting, or model-based analytics.
• Proficiency in project scheduling using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
• Possession of professional certifications such as CM-BIM, PMP, DBIA, LEED AP, or Autodesk certification.
