This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Prepare, review, and process customer invoices for designated business units and customer portfolios, ensuring their accuracy, timeliness, completeness, and compliance with contract terms, purchase orders, statements of work, billing schedules, rate tables, and customer specifications.
• Execute recurring, subscription-based, usage-based, milestone, project, and one-time billing operations, which include manual invoicing, NetSuite uploads, and associated billing-system workflows.
• Examine source billing data, such as customer master data, order forms, usage files, project milestones, tax/customer details, purchase order requirements, and billing support, to identify and rectify discrepancies prior to invoice issuance.
• Maintain billing schedules, customer billing attributes, rate tables, invoice delivery instructions, portal requirements, and other billing master data following company policies and internal controls.
• Act as the primary contact for customer billing inquiries, invoice corrections, portal submission issues, payment application questions, and billing-related disputes; facilitate timely resolutions with internal teams and customers.
• Collaborate with Sales, Client Success, Operations, Revenue Accounting, Collections, and other Finance teams to address contract, order, delivery, billing, and customer-account issues that affect invoicing or cash collection.
• Assist with collections activities by investigating invoice disputes, providing billing support, correcting invoice errors, and escalating root-cause issues; coordinate payment terms or credit-related matters with the appropriate Finance leader.
• Prepare billing, accounts receivable, aging, unbilled, exception, and collection-support reports; analyze trends, recurring defects, and process bottlenecks for management review.
• Support month-end close by completing billing cutoffs, invoice reconciliations, unbilled reviews, billing exception follow-ups, and audit-ready assistance for assigned areas.
• Provide backup operational support for the Billing Supervisor / Billing Lead as required, including monitoring the billing queue, triaging issues, reviewing invoices, tracking customer escalations, following up on reporting, and coordinating priority billing activities.
• Contribute to process improvements, documentation, standard operating procedures, controls, and system enhancements, including testing of NetSuite and Subscription 360, data cleanup, post-go-live stabilization, and issue resolution.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, customer requirements, and applicable accounting, tax, and billing procedures.
• An Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, order-to-cash, revenue operations, or a comparable finance operations role.
• A strong understanding of subscription, recurring, usage-based, project, milestone, and manual billing processes.
• Experience in reviewing customer contracts, order forms, statements of work, billing schedules, purchase orders, rate tables, and customer billing requirements.
• Proficiency in using ERP or billing systems; experience with NetSuite is strongly preferred.
• Strong Excel skills, including handling large data sets, reconciliations, uploads, pivot tables, lookups, and billing support files.
• In-depth knowledge of accounts receivable processes, billing controls, invoice accuracy standards, customer account maintenance, and audit support expectations.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, follow-through, and the ability to meet recurring billing and close deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and cross-functional internal teams.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining accuracy and accountability.
