This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, maintain, and provide support for enterprise BI and data solutions.
• Assess business needs and create or enhance dashboards, reports, data extracts, ETL/ELT processes, data marts, governed datasets, and additional BI solutions.
• Facilitate data integration, reporting, analytics, and downstream data utilization.
• Convert business requirements into technical specifications, source-to-target mappings, and solution designs.
• Conduct thorough data analysis, define metrics, validate sources, document processes, and ensure data quality.
• Execute unit testing and assist in validating outputs, reconciliation, and meeting business acceptance criteria.
• Resolve issues and provide support for reports, data extracts, ETL/ELT processes, scheduled jobs, and production data solutions.
• Perform root cause analysis and document resolutions and preventive measures.
• Create and sustain business rules, data lineage, technical specifications, runbooks, and support procedures.
• Assist with testing, UAT, change management, and release planning activities.
• Promote data governance, metadata management, data lineage, data quality, access control, and reporting governance.
• Enhance solutions for efficiency, reliability, automation, performance, and maintainability.
• For Lead level: manage complex solutions and large-scale projects, provide technical guidance, mentor junior team members, and serve as a subject matter expert.
• Senior level: a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in IT, BI, data engineering, data integration, reporting, or analytics delivery.
• Lead level: at least 7 years of relevant experience required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in developing and supporting enterprise data solutions in a live environment.
• Lead level: experience overseeing at least four large-scale projects, initiatives, or enhancements.
• Lead level: experience in providing technical leadership, mentoring, peer review, or directing work for developers or analysts.
• Proficient in advanced SQL query writing in Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or other leading RDBMS.
• Expertise in advanced report and dashboard creation using Microsoft Reporting Services, Microsoft Power BI, Business Objects, Cognos, or similar tools.
• Experience with ETL/ELT development using Microsoft Integration Services, Informatica, or comparable data integration tools.
• Familiarity with supporting data extracts, integrations, data marts, governed datasets, and downstream reporting or analytics.
• Knowledge of OLAP cubes, semantic layers, and data models using Microsoft Analysis Services or analogous tools.
• Understanding of dimensional data modeling and data warehousing methodologies.
• Experience with data quality metrics, validation results, exceptions, and reconciliation procedures.
• Knowledge of production support practices including scheduling, orchestration, monitoring, incident triage, root cause analysis, and operational readiness.
• Ability to create technical specifications and documentation including source-to-target mappings, business rules, lineage, runbooks, and support procedures.
• Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, stewardship, reporting governance, access controls, and secure handling of sensitive data.
• Strong skills in complex problem solving, critical thinking, deductive reasoning, and inductive reasoning.
• Ability to analyze systems, data flows, and processes to assess change impacts and conduct root cause analysis.
• Lead level: capability to guide technical design discussions, influence solution direction, resolve ambiguities, and align technical delivery with business objectives.
• Equivalent military experience is acceptable.
• Willingness to travel occasionally, one to two times per year.
