Senior BI & Data Governance Analyst – Microsoft Fabric

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Continuously assess the capacity of the Microsoft Fabric environment, monitoring consumption and performance metrics to avoid bottlenecks, degradation, and throttling.

• Analyze performance issues in reports, semantic models, and analytical processes, conducting troubleshooting and identifying the root cause.

• Optimize data models, queries, and DAX expressions to enhance efficiency and improve the user experience.

• Oversee platform administration and governance, which includes organizing Workspaces; managing access and security (RLS/OLS); version control using Git; deployment pipelines; and governance of the artifact lifecycle.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders and development teams, advocating best practices for Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.

• Assist in architectural decisions related to Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Direct Lake, and semantic models.

• Actively monitor logs, metrics, and platform utilization to foresee incidents before they affect production.

• Maintain legacy analytical solutions in on-premises environments, ensuring stability and operational continuity of existing integrations and models utilizing SSIS and SSAS.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience (5+ years) with Power BI and Microsoft Fabric, ideally with a focus on administering Premium or Fabric environments.

• In-depth knowledge of: DAX; dimensional modeling (star schema); and performance optimization for models and reports.

• Proficiency with tools such as DAX Studio, Tabular Editor, and Performance Analyzer.

• Experience in governance and administration of the Power BI/Fabric platform.

• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and deployment pipelines.

• Understanding of automation via the Power BI REST APIs.

• Extensive experience with cloud data environments, particularly Azure and Azure Databricks.

• Background in supporting on-premises SQL Server environments, including SSIS (Integration Services) and SSAS (Analysis Services).

• Proven experience in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolving complex issues.
