Senior Battery & Systems Engineer – Large-Scale Battery Storage, BESS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• You will be in charge of the technical design and optimization of our stationary battery storage systems (20–500 MW).

• You will analyze the interactions among batteries, inverters, transformers, cooling systems, EMS, and other components.

• You will evaluate and define system designs in terms of performance, efficiency, longevity, and degradation.

• You will swiftly identify technical challenges and address them systematically through troubleshooting and fault analysis.

• You will actively assist in commissioning activities to ensure our systems are brought online efficiently.

• You will collaborate closely with manufacturers, suppliers, and internal teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in electrical engineering, power engineering, or a similar qualification.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in battery storage, inverters, or energy systems.

• Profound technical knowledge of battery technologies, power electronics, and system integration.

• Experience with manufacturers, operators, or EPCs within the BESS environment is a significant advantage.

• Familiarity with grid connections, regulatory requirements (VDE-AR-N 4110/4120), and operational strategies for storage systems.

• Experience in commissioning medium-voltage installations.

• Proficiency with EMS, SCADA systems, InfluxDB, Grafana, or similar platforms.

• Regular presence in Munich is required for coordination and project work.

• Fluent in German and possess a strong command of English.
