Senior Batch Developer – Linux, C, SQL

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop, test, debug, implement, and document programs of moderate complexity.

• Analyze, design, and create specifications and requirements for software development.

• Assess existing systems and applications.

• Support the project manager in task delegation and collaborate closely with the team.

• Communicate with clients and management regarding intricate programming projects.

• Confirm program requirements and address any issues that arise.

• Create test plans and engage in QA activities, including code reviews.

• Actively participate as a member of the development team and lead a small sub-team when necessary.

• Design system components and assign responsibilities appropriately.

• Involve yourself in production support tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 9 years of experience in applications development and batch programming.

• Proficiency in Unix, Linux, C, and SQL with Oracle or other databases.

• Familiarity with Claims, Pharmacy point of sale, and EDI.

• Experience with NCPDP (National Council for Prescription Drug Programs) is highly preferred.

• Comprehensive understanding of the full software development life cycle.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for program design, creation, and testing.

• Capability to work efficiently both as an independent contributor and a team leader.

• Willingness to participate in production support, requiring 24/7 availability during on-call rotations.

• Flexibility to work a varied schedule to meet business needs and travel as necessary.

• Video cameras are required to be used during all interviews and the first week of orientation.
