This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Comprehend and articulate user and product challenges.
• Spearhead major technical deliveries within the team from problem identification to production operation.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain dependable, scalable, user-centered products.
• Analyze and troubleshoot complicated production issues utilizing monitoring, observability, and data analysis tools.
• Recognize opportunities for performance, scalability, and reliability enhancements, and implement technical upgrades.
• Achieve autonomy on high-impact projects within a few weeks of joining a new team.
• Enhance engineering practices through code reviews, pair programming, documentation, RFCs, and AI-supported development.
• Guide engineers, disseminate knowledge, provide constructive feedback, and elevate the technical skills of the team.
• Work collaboratively with other teams, effectively communicating progress, risks, decisions, and outcomes.
• Contribute to the tech community by producing technical content, facilitating onboarding, conducting interviews, resolving incidents, and participating in tech initiatives and meetups.
• A minimum of 7–8 years of practical experience with Ruby on Rails.
• Proficient technical knowledge in at least one major component of the technology stack.
• Solid understanding of product and business dynamics.
• Capability to tackle complex challenges and provide reliable, practical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to express ideas clearly.
• A collaborative mindset with a strong sense of ownership for delivery.
• Eligibility to work in the European Union.
• Must reside in Europe, with a maximum time difference of two hours from CET.
• No visa sponsorship available; candidates must already possess the right to work in the European Union.
• Familiarity with monitoring, observability, data analysis, code reviews, pair programming, documentation, RFCs, and AI-assisted development.
