Senior Backend Java

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Lead the technical development of backend systems (hands-on role, without direct management)

• Define the architecture from scratch in a loosely defined environment

• Design APIs with an API First approach

• Promote best practices: Clean Code, testing, CI/CD, and observability

• Collaborate within a small team (backend + frontend)

• Work with AI applied throughout the entire development lifecycle

• Apply the Spec Driven Development (SDD) methodology

⛳️ Requirements

• Solid experience in Java (17–21+) and Spring Boot / Spring Data

• Experience with architectures: microservices, hexagonal, event-driven

• Knowledge of Kafka or messaging systems

• API design (OpenAPI / Swagger)

• Best practices: SOLID, DDD, TDD

• Experience with relational databases and NoSQL (MongoDB)

• Familiarity with Kubernetes / OpenShift + CI/CD

• Testing experience (JUnit, Mockito; E2E experience is a plus)

• Real-world experience with AI in development (highly valued)
