Senior Backend Engineer, Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• You will join a development team at Zup to assist in building products and enhancing the data platform for Itaú bank.

• Lead the adoption of modern development practices, leveraging AI deeply in your daily workflow to accelerate delivery and ensure the quality of the software produced.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong experience in backend programming with Python and good knowledge of Java programming.

• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and software design.

• Familiarity with databases and operating systems.

• Experience in developing APIs and microservices.

• Knowledge of cloud-oriented event system architectures.

• Understanding of software testing concepts, including TDD and testing distributed systems based on microservices.

• Experience with agile development methodologies (Scrum, SAFe) and AWS services (ECS, Lambda, StepFunction, CloudWatch, S3, SNS, RDS).

• Experience with software construction processes supported by SCM tools (Git), CI/CD, and DevOps.

• Experience with infrastructure provisioning as code (Terraform).

• Proficiency in the development cycle assisted by Code Agents, including interaction, guidance, and auditing of autonomous coding agents.

• Ability to design agents, create tools, and develop modular skills for safe operation within the codebase.

• Practical experience with SDD (Spec-Driven Development), using strict specifications as an engine for automated generation.

• Mastery of Intent Development concepts, focusing on translating business intents and architectural rules into precise instructions for AI, minimizing human-generated code.

• Experience with Harness Engineering, designing isolated testing environments (scaffolds/simulators) for autonomous code validation.
