• Contribute to the design and advancement of the AI orchestration layer by creating robust, fault-tolerant agentic workflows utilizing Temporal activities and ReAct reasoning loops powered by pydantic-ai and Claude.
• Implement features throughout their entire lifecycle — from conceptualization and prototyping to implementation, pytest/syrupy snapshot testing, GitLab CI/CD deployment via Octopus Deploy, and post-launch monitoring with New Relic APM.
• Maintain engineering excellence by performing detailed code reviews, crafting thorough tests (including unit, integration, and Playwright end-to-end tests), ensuring structlog observability, and adhering to uv monorepo workspace standards.
• Provide mentorship to mid-level and junior engineers on async Python best practices, pydantic-ai agent design, and the principles of clean and testable agentic architecture.
• Work closely with product managers, UX designers, legal domain experts, and frontend engineers to convert intricate attorney workflows into dependable, high-impact AI-driven features.
• Engage actively in cross-team planning, design reviews, sprint ceremonies, and discussions regarding AI platform standards.
• Clearly communicate technical trade-offs, agentic design choices, and reliability implications to both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, while contributing to the discussions on the AI orchestration roadmap.
• Over 6 years of professional backend development experience with expert-level proficiency in Python (3.12+), async/await, FastAPI, and Pydantic v2.
• Demonstrated experience in production environments building complex, distributed systems — preferably including durable workflow orchestration (Temporal or similar), message queues, or event-driven architectures.
• Outstanding communication skills, with the capability to clearly explain agentic design decisions, reliability trade-offs, and LLM behavior to non-technical stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
• A growth mindset, a strong collaborative spirit, a genuine enthusiasm for mentoring others, and a proven history of delivering high-impact features from start to finish in dynamic production settings.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred — equivalent experience, certifications, or demonstrated expertise with a solid production record will be considered on par.
