Senior Backend Engineer – Product Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.

📋 Description

• You will implement high-quality features and enhancements in a contemporary web application.

• You will design solutions that prioritize scalability, security, and maintainability.

• You will collaborate with product management, design, and engineering teams to facilitate viable product development from discovery to delivery.

• You will engage closely with fellow developers through pair programming, code reviews, and similar practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• You possess experience in backend software engineering, while basic knowledge of frontend engineering is beneficial.

• Ideally, you are proficient in PHP or eager to learn. Familiarity with TypeScript and other programming languages is a plus.

• You take pride in writing code that is readable, reusable, scalable, and well-tested.

• You are comfortable working with legacy code.

• You combat the dreaded 'big ball of mud' by maintaining low coupling, high cohesion, and adhering to SOLID principles.

• You demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.

• You possess excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• You are fluent in English.
