Senior Backend Engineer – .Net

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Engage in all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) as a member of a cross-functional product team. This encompasses, but is not limited to, requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing (including unit, integration, and service tests), building, deployment, and operation of new product increments, along with managing change requests, defect resolution, spikes, and proof-of-concepts.

• Ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions by maintaining acceptable test coverage that aligns with the Definition of Done criteria.

• Be an active team player, contributing significantly to the group's efforts to complete tasks and achieve objectives.

• Uphold and promote modern software engineering practices through participating in design reviews.

• Engage in mentorship and share knowledge within the team and the broader Engineering organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5-6 years of professional experience in backend development utilizing .NET Framework and .NET 6+.

• Proficiency in English at a B2 level, both in spoken and written forms.

• Strong understanding of the SDLC, as well as software design and architectural principles.

• Proficient in writing both unit and integration tests, ensuring that best testing practices are integrated throughout every development phase.

• In-depth knowledge of API design principles, with a solid grasp of REST, RPC, and relevant security considerations.

• Experience with relational databases, preferably MS SQL Server or PostgreSQL.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms, with a preference for AWS.

• A product-focused mindset, consistently aiming to deliver value for users.

• Strong sense of ownership, taking full responsibility for the end-to-end development process from design to production support.
