Senior Backend Engineer, Golang

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and sustain scalable backend services using Golang.

• Create RESTful APIs and ensure stable data contracts that evolve safely over time.

• Implement and oversee asynchronous, event-driven communication with reliable messaging, idempotency, error handling, and backward compatibility.

• Architect and develop distributed systems and microservices aimed at scalability, resilience, and maintainability.

• Enhance application performance, reliability, and resource efficiency in production settings.

• Engage in architectural discussions and contribute to technical decision-making processes.

• Conduct code reviews and promote knowledge sharing throughout the engineering team.

• Write and sustain unit and integration tests for APIs, business logic, and integrations.

• Design and uphold secure APIs and service integrations by applying authentication, authorization, and identity-management best practices.

• Develop integrations with Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, ServiceNow, Genesys Cloud, and various other third-party systems.

• Design and maintain dependable integrations between internal services and external enterprise platforms.

• Occasionally contribute to frontend functionality based on React.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience as a Software Engineer.

• Extensive experience in building backend applications and services with Golang.

• Strong grasp of concurrency in Golang and asynchronous workflows.

• Practical experience with event-driven architectures and message handling technologies, including Kafka, NATS, RabbitMQ, or similar.

• Familiarity with AWS and cloud-native architectures.

• Proven track record in designing APIs and event schemas with a focus on long-term evolution and backward compatibility.

• Comprehensive understanding of authentication, authorization, and secure API design principles.

• Experience with microservice architectures and distributed systems.

• Proficiency with relational and/or NoSQL databases.

• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Strong dedication to automated testing, including unit and integration tests.

• Experience with React and modern frontend development is a plus.

• Knowledge of TypeScript and Protobuf is a plus.

• Familiarity with Azure or GCP is a plus.

• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana and Prometheus is a plus.

• Knowledge of identity and access management solutions like Keycloak, Auth0, Okta, or similar is a plus.
